Morana works at Taskovski Films as the Acquisitions Manager & Producer.
Even though she has an MA in Philosophy and Social Sciences, she has always expressed a passion for performing arts and film. Already in her childhood, she starred in many theatre plays in her hometown of Rijeka developing her sense of drama.
After the war in Croatia, she worked as a peace activist dealing with trauma and reconciliation with children and youth from the region. For 20 years, Morana has been working in all aspects of the film industry – at FADE IN studio (http://www.fadein.hr) – one of the leading Croatian production companies (3 times named country’s Best Production Company).
Last 6 years she acted as the CEO and the Creative Producer of the company.
Morana is a “hybrid film professional” – her multitalented nature with a whole specter of skills, knowledge, and years of high professional experience in all area of the film industry provides her with valuable tools for identifying the demands of the international marketplace, while working closely with the filmmakers – from idea to the screen!
To mention some of Morana’s rich professional experience:
Producer and co-producer of future length documentaries – Sick, Free, Bosanoga (an entirely accidental death), 4 passports, Gangster of Love, and others – docs screened at Hot Docs, Sarajevo, Warsaw, One World, Jaipur, Thessaloniki, Seoul HR, Gdansk, Sao Paolo, Edinburgh, SEE Los Angeles, etc.
Developed co-developed and produced documentary TV series for Croatian public and commercial televisions (Direkt, series for youth – total produced: 145 episodes, she produced 15 episodes of 26’ length, Luggage/Prtljaga6 part documentary series of 26’ length about human heritage and trauma, 12 episodes series about refugee re-integration Return/Povratak two seasons of 10’ documentary series Carpe Diem – 30 episodes per season… and many others).
Producer of commissioned films and social advertising campaigns for UNICEF, Government Agencies, The Open Society, UNDP, etc.
Co-developed & produced a vast range of educational programs dealing with:
Media literacy (Don’t hate the media, be the media, Jump-cut, Videoaktiv),
Creative audiovisual approach in therapy
Specialized workshops for professionals and semi-professionals (In Focus – dealing with protagonists in documentary films)
Co-founder of training center Filmaktiv in 2003. (films produced by Filmaktiv are awarded at the famous Mostra di Venezia).

Morana is a member of the Croatian Producers’ Association and Croatian Filmmakers’ Association.
Lecturer at professional filmmaking training programs, universities, schools, and workshops for school teachers in the effort to develop the audiovisual creative aspect of learning and expression from an early age.
Film director – her debut film “Naked soul” was screened at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival (Generation Y program)
She believes that learning never stops, so she attended professional training programs such as DokIncubator 2013, Emerging producers at Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in the Czech Republic, and film markets and pitching forums at Berlinale, East Doc Platform, DOK Leipzig, and others.
