Masterclass “The art of creative producing” by Irena Taskovski is going to be held at Lunenburg Doc Fest on Saturday 25/09/2021 at 3:15- 5:45 PM.

• Irena Taskovski is an award-winning producer and distributor, executive director of London’s Taskovski Films, which you will be able to listen at this masterclass.

• The interactive program will guide the filmmakers through all stages of creating their documentary project, from the initial concept to reaching the audience. Each topic will be based on very practical examples and case studies of projects either from Taskovski Films catalogue or projects of participants themselves. Thanks to that, the filmmakers will get unique opportunity to get expertise and feedback from professional expert as well as discuss their own challenges with fellow colleagues.

–> You will be able to listen to four main sections on this topic:

1. DEVELOPMENT AND THE ART OF PITCHING ( What are the first steps to be taken from the initial idea towards successfully finishing your documentary film? How to find the core of the film and how to present it?)
2. FINANCING AND COPRODUCTION ( Where to find funding for the project and how to effectively secure it? How does international co-production work? (Diazepam) )
3. PROMOTION AND FESTIVAL STRATEGIES ( How to create ideal promotional materials and campaigns for your specific project? How to plan a festival strategy and how the pandemic has changed the festival market.)
4. DISTRIBUTION AND AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT ( How to get the film distributed internationally, how to find a sales agent and how they help the film? How to reach your audience?)
