Taskovski Films will represent two brand new documentaries at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.

We are very pleased to welcome ‘Ceres’ and ‘Hotel Jugoslavija’ to our family! Both films are part of the Official selection of the 2018 Berlin International Film Festival. Ceres has also been nominated as one of the 18 documentaries that compete for the Glashütte Original – Documentary Award; an award worth € 50,000, funded by Glashütte Original.

Ceres by Janet van den Brand

ceres news

Ceres is a poetic and tangible documentary film that follows four children as they experience the natural cycle of life on a farm. Each child lives on a remote farm in the southwest of The Netherlands and is learning the profession of their ancestors from a young age. They dream that one day they will take over the farm of their father. Click here for the trailer.

Ceres will screen in the Berlinale Generation K section.

Hotel Jugoslavija by Nicolas Wagnières

A scene from Hotel Jugoslavija

Yugoslavia no longer exists, but Hotel Jugoslavija continues to haunt the Belgrade scene, like a mirror held out to a Serbia in search of new landmarks. The film’s director – of Yugoslavian origin but born and permanently residing in Switzerland – set about exploring the building at different eras by questioning its former residents. The result is a singular space-time continuum projecting a form of collective unconscious and a share of its own identity. Click here for the trailer

Hotel Jugoslavija will screen in the Berlinale Panorama section.

Of course we will also be present during the festival at the European Film Market! Anna Berthollet, our head of  Festivals and Theatrical Sales will be there from 16 – 19 February at Booth 25!
