Boris Gerrets’ film People I could have been and maybe am recently was awarded with its 6th prize.
The documentary received the French Ambassador’s Prize for most innovative documentary of today at the XXV Parnu International and Anthropology Film Festival.
Earlier the documentary received the Award for Mid Length Competition (IDFA), Best Director (Visions du Reel), Honourable Mention (Hot Docs), International Film Critics ‘Fipresci’ Award (Beldocs Filmfestival) and the Time Out Best City Film Award (Open City Festival in London).
In People I Could Have Been And Maybe Am, the director attempts to break through the anonymity of the big city by filming conversations with strangers on the streets of London with his mobile phone.
The documentary is supported by the Netherlands Film Fund and the Fund BKVB. Produced by PVH Film.
